Makanan saya sekarang
Saya kemarin sore dinasehati kakak, terus malamnya diskusi sama temen temen via fb tentang bagaimana makanan di Jepang. Sebagai muslim, saya diharamkan makan/minum beberapa jenis, dan makanan/minuman yg haram yang orang sangat suka di dunia ialah daging babi dan alkohol.
Di Jepang saya tinggal di internasional dorm, bersama mahasiswa internasional dari berbagai negara. Soal makan, saya biasa masak di dapur bersama, dan kadang kadang makan bersama keluar dengan teman dorm. Karena masih awal-awal saya mencari teman sebanyak mungkin. Dan sayangnya saya hanya menghindari daging babi dan tidak minum bir/sake jika pergi ke tempat makan atau ada party di dorm.
Kemarin lusa, saya pergi makan ramen dekat dorm, dan saya pesan ramen kuah miso tanpa daging babi. Kalau yg ini ramennya menurut saya rasanya biasa saja, masih lebih suka taste ramennya Indonesia..
Dan saya baru sadar benar, kalau yah, sepertinya pola pikir saya agak salah. Makan makanan haram bukan hanya saja menghindari itu semata tp kita juga harus memikirkan cara memasaknya, dengan apa dimasak, dll, karena orang jepang hampir setiap kali memasukan sake atau mungkin pakai minyak babi ke dalam makanannya. Jadi saya harus extra hati-hati.
Di dorm juga pakai alat masaknya bersama, jd harus dihindari takutnya nyucinya belum bersih atau gimana. Memang cukup berat saya beradaptasi, baru 5 hari saja saya sudah ada 3 kali makan diluarnya, karena gaenak nolak dan juga emang bosen di dorm atau ngga males masak. Saya juga suka bingung apa bahan yang harus dibeli di supermarket?
Jadi, sebenernya bagaimana hukum makan makanan yg mengandung sedikit alkohol/khmr/sake ? terus bagaimana hukum menggunakan alat masak yang baru dipakai habis menggoreng babi misalnya?
Untuk daging babi, JELAS tidak boleh, bagian apapun dari babi jelas diharamkan, karena jelas ayatnya.
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلاَ عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
[Sesungguhnya Allah hanya mengharamkan bagimu bangkai, darah, daging babi dan binatang yang (ketika) disembelih (disebut nama) untuk selain Allah. Tetapi barangsiapa dalam keadaan terpaksa (memakannya) sedang ia tidak menginginkannya dan tidak (pula) melampaui batas, maka tidak ada dosa baginya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.] SURAT AL-BAQARAH (2) Ayat 173
Sedangkan darah, yang dimaksud adalah yang mengalir, sedangkan hati dan limpa merupakan pengecualian. Untuk bangkai disini termasuk yang matinya tidak wajar, seperti yg terpukul, tercekik, dll.

Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallamtelah memberi suatu ketentuan umum dalam sabdanya,
كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ
“Tiap sesuatu yang memabukkan adalah khamar dan tiap sesuatu yang memabukkan adalah haram.” [1]
Dalam hadits lain, Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam menyatakan,
مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيْرُهُ فَقَلِيْلُهُ حَرَامٌ
“Segala sesuatu yang memabukkan (bila) banyak, (juga) adalah haram (bila) sedikit.”[2]
Dua hadits di atas menjelaskan bahwa makanan atau minuman yang memabukkan adalah haram. Bila telah mencapai kadar memabukkan, suatu makanan atau minuman tidak boleh dikonsumsi atau dimanfaatkan oleh siapapun, walaupun sedikit. Namun, bila suatu makanan atau minuman tidak memabukkan saat dikonsumsi dalam jumlah banyak, hal tersebut tidaklah mengapa.
Oleh karena itu, mengukur kebolehan memakan dua jenis makanan yang disebutkan dalam pertanyaan adalah dengan meneliti sebagai berikut: Apabila memabukkan bila dikonsumsi, makanan tersebut tidak boleh dikonsumsi karena tergolong sebagai khamar yang diharamkan. Apabila sama sekali tidak memabukkan bila dikonsumsi dalam jumlah banyak, makanan tersebut boleh dan halal dikonsumsi, walaupun mengandung sedikit kadar alkohol.
Yah, karena sumbernya tidak langsung dari Al-Quran, banyak kontroversi, sama halnya seperti cuka dan tapai. Jadi makanan yg pake sake sedikit mungkin masuk kedalamnya. Tapi kalau memang diminum/dimakan memabukan, dan bertujuan untuk memabukan seseorang maka harus dihindari, karena ada di Al-Quran : Surat Al Maidah :
90. Hai orang-orang yang beriman, Sesungguhnya (meminum) khamar, berjudi, (berkorban untuk) berhala, mengundi nasib dengan panah*], adalah Termasuk perbuatan syaitan. Maka jauhilah perbuatan-perbuatan itu agar kamu mendapat keberuntungan.
91. Sesungguhnya syaitan itu bermaksud hendak menimbulkan permusuhan dan kebencian di antara kamu lantaran (meminum) khamar dan berjudi itu, dan menghalangi kamu dari mengingat Allah dan sembahyang; Maka berhentilah kamu (dari mengerjakan pekerjaan itu).
Terus gimana halnya dengan alat masak yang baru dipakai memasak babi? Ini copas juga dari temannya teman saya, Hurul Aini As Silmi, namanya gatau siapa, sepertinya Izzul El-ghozali.
Jika kita mengetahui mereka memasak daging babi atau bangkai di wadah- wadah mereka, atau menggunakannya untuk meminum khamar, maka yang utama adalah menghindarinya dan tidak menggunakannya, kecuali jika dalam kondisi darurat, maka hendaknya dicuci dahulu baru kemudian digunakan untuk makan.
Jika mereka telah mencucinya, maka kita tidak diharuskan mencuci ulang, dan tidak
disyaratkan dalam mencuci membasuhnya sebanyak tiga kali, tapi cukup dicuci hingga hilang bekas makanan dan minuman yang ada padanya.
Dalilnya adalah riwayat Bukhari, salah seorang sahabat bertanya kepaada nabi, Wahai Nabi Allah, kami berada di negeri Ahli Kitab, apakah kami boleh makan di wadah-wadah mereka? … Beliau bersabda, ‘Adapun yang engkau sebutkan dari Ahli Kitab, jika kalian dapatkan selainnya, maka jangan makan dengannya, dan jika tidak
kalian dapatkan, maka cucilah, dan makanlah dengannya.”
Intinya, apapun itu sebisa mungkin dihindari agar tidak menimbulkan kekhawatiran. Saya pun barusan sudah pergi beli alat masak sendiri, dan belanja bahan seperti roti tawar, telur dan sayur2an :) Tapi kita semua tahu, Allah Maha Pengampun dan Penyayang. Selagi niat kita tidak untuk menjauhi-Nya, tidak untuk membangkang dan kita sudah berusaha dengan maksimal, buat saya tidak apa-apa. Untuk satu bulan kedepan saya sudah punya banyak pasokan makanan sih dr Indonesia, tp gatau seterusnya. Yah saya berdoa semoga saya disini bisa selalu istiqomah, dan walpun jadi jarang makan tetep selalu sehat dan berat badan ngga turun, haha

お好み焼き and コヒ Hunting to Senri-Chuo
Yesterday, on my 4th day living in Osaka (21/09) I went to Senri-Chuo, a biggest station near our dorm area with another friends, ethnically diverse friends, there are Nami from South Korea, Hwei from Singapore, Stef from Netherland, and Esther from Canada but she is Cantonese. It was so fun for me chatting and sharing with another, we even talk about Alcohol and another thing I never talked before. We left dormitory at 12am, mid-day. And Osaka was really hot, even on almost October. We walked to Yamada Station and go to Senri-chuo Station (there is no stop between the station because its near). And yeah, Senri-chuo is a quite big station and lucky us there is a small festival there.

After arrived, we directly go to お好み焼き (Okonomiyaki) store. Okonomiyaki is Japanese pancake and really famous in Osaka. I often ate Okonomiyaki in Indonesia, but the original one has a different but better taste for me. The store was inside a building. Because the store is quite small, we have to wait for a minute. But there was an interesting machine for us at the front of the store. I don’t know whether using that machine before or after we eat, but I bet we using it after eat because we have to stand inside the machine and there is a smoke that smell like a charcoal, I thought it will remove the Okonomiyaki smell (but I don’t have any idea why they using charcoal smell).

After we got a seat, we order the food, and I’m really glad they understand about my religion, so we don’t order any buta-niku-contained food. We order 卵 (Tamago/Egg) Okonomiyaki, and one Okonomiyaki that only containing vegetable only. And one Yakisoba, and one Modanyaki (Modern Okonomiyaki). Modanyaki is Yakisoba that turn into Okonomiyaki. And in Japan, if we go to the Okonomiyaki store, we must cooked the Okonomiyaki by our self. But because it was our first time, the chef at the restaurant show us first how to make Okonomiyaki. The ingredients was really simple, I think we can make one at home. Finally we finished making our first self cooking Okonomiyaki, Yakisoba, Modanyaki, and then we share it together. Our Okonomiyaki was really delicious! But I don’t really like the taste of Yakisoba there. Hehe.
They will give us our order like this, uncooked.
We mixed everything in the bowl, and cooked it. Waiting for 3 minutes, flip, waiting for 5 minutes, flip again, waiting for 3 mins and put the sweet sauce, mayo and the fish things (I don’t know the name and how to explained it) above the okonomiyaki, and…

After ate Okonomiyaki, we went to the another building, electronic goods department store, and looking for the match hand phone for us, but we have not buy them yet. Almost afternoon, we drank at the coffee shop. I didn’t take any interior picture because I worried that will be not polite but the café interior was good, small but have an ethnic style with a western touch.
The front of coffee shop and me with another (I hate the photo because I got a backlightT-T). We got a special spot because the shop was full so we can use an empty reservation spot. Lucky!
After had a coffee, we went to Daiso, another brand of 100Yen Shop. Daiso in Senri-chuo is bigger than 100Yen Shop at Minami-Senri and the interior was Pink everywhere. Hehe. After finished everything at Senri-chuo we went back to Yamada station and went shopping again to drugstore and KOHYO Supermarket to buy some ingredients for dinner. For last night dinner I didn’t join and give them chance to cook pork, haha. I only cook instant spaghetti for my self last night. Ah yesterday was fun but also tiring. Hihi. I spent yaah a little much money; 400Y (40,000 Rupiah or 4USD) for monorail to Senri-chuo, about 500Y for okonomiyaki, 400Y for coffee, 300Y for shopping. But that’s okay, making friend will need money I think. I hope I can always get along with them and also with another :)

Finally, Japan!
日本 よこそ!(Welcome Japan!)
My Japanese level is too bad right now, but I think I will developing my ability. Hehe. So, I just want to share something here, that I finally, completed another dream of mine, that was : arrive in Japan! :’) Alhamdulillah.
I arrived at 18th, but I have the bad luck, some accidents, first is on of my wheel suitcase is broken and second is I brought the wrong plug-in adaptor so I cant got any electricity. but luckily a day after, a Brazilian Japanese friend at dorm helped me to adapt one local plug-in to the one I need. So I just got an electricity yesterday, and only have a chance to post a blog today.
So, day 1, I just going around dormitory by myself. I’ll wrote about my dormitory tour later. And day 2 (19th) I’m going with Bryan to Shinsabashi, near Namba, Osaka, by train, Hankyu Osaka, and than transfer with JR Subway. We go there to report at Indonesian General Consulate about our arrival. Its really weird to meet up with Bryan, because our dormitory was separated and we don’t have any cellphone, we just chat via FB and deciding the time and place to meet up on the day before. But don’t worry, i still can meet up with him. And then after we report, we walk around Shinsabashi, and go to the famous place, Dotonbori and also we walk at the arcade walk, its named Shinsabashi-Suji at the gate, its really long maybe almost 2 kilometers. Its really crowded than my dorm area, because my dorm area is kind of like countryside, and Dotonbori is in a Osaka City Center. And also Umeda station is WOW, huge, crowd, cross circulation of walking people everywhere, its SUGOI!
But, like what I’ve explained before that I don’t have any electricity so at the second day all of my gadget was die. So I cant take any photos. I will updated later if I get any pic from Bry. He even take a photo of NMB48 at the huge billboard there!
And then after a short tour with Bry, I went to dorm by myself and get lost. But I met someone that also will go to our dorm, we really towards an opposite way before I greet him, so I’m lucky.
At the 3rd day (20nd) me and some friends, from many countries, like there are 2 girls from Philipine, 2 girls from South Korea and 1 boy Brazilian Japanese, we went to Suita City Hall to register our arrival, and open a bank account at the Yuchoo Bank or Post Office (I don’t know). It’s really nice to go to public place with the people that can talk Japanese fluently, they really helped me a lot. Hehe.
After that we went to 百円 Shop (100Yen Shop) where all things that sell in there is only 100Yen (it’s only about 10,000 rupiah or 1USD). Hyaku-En Shop is spread around Japan, so its really easy to find, and the things they sell is really worth for that price. I bought some necessary goods: slipper, chopstick, and than the local plug-in.
And at night we had additional welcome party at Tsukumodai Dormitory, after my adapted plug-in is done (really thankfully to Kenji-san) I cook with another boys from Singapore, Netherland and the Brazilian-Japanese boy. We use my rice, and I cooked it, and they bought another ingredients. We stir some chicken onion mushroom beansprout tofu, mixed it only with soy sauce. And I add an additional dish, Rendang. I’m glad to meet the Singaporean, because he knows well about me that 豚肉 と アルコホル は 食べられませ (I can’t eat pork and drink alcohol). And lucky me once more, the Korean girls is celebrating their Thanksgiving day, so they made Kimchi (I’ve taste it finally :)) and they also cooked some Kimchi Pancake. Really nice, Oishikatta desu. We ate together and the Korean girl take a photo of us.

Cooking Lesson #1 Beef Teriyaki Toast
All over this week is holiday for me, so I just stayed at home doing some household work, one of those is cooking!
If I bring back the KKN memory, I am the one who got bullied a lot because of my lack of cooking :( but honestly, if I have a spare time I have a big passion to cooking, hehe, so I try to cook a lot lately.
And now I will share a recipe, the idea is from my older brother, and then I try to make one by myself and by my own way. Because I’m not expert of cooking so all of my ingredients that I use is very simple, and should be will available in your own refrigerator/kitchen daily ^^
Beef Teriyaki Toast
- White Beard
- Beef, cooked, it must be fried or roasted first
- Corn, chopped
- Onion, chopped
- Mozzarella, wide thin sliced
- Teriyaki Sauce, brand that I use is Saori
- Chili sauce
- Lemon
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Oregano
- Sesame
- Margarine
Cooking ware that I use is double sided frying pan. This pan is also usually have an ability to roast.
First, mix the beef with the corn, onion, teriyaki sauce, chili sauce, lemon, black pepper, and salt in the bowl.
And then, coating the white bread with the margarine, and toast it at the frying pan. After it half crispy, put all of the content in bowl on the top of the bread, and also put the mozzarella.
Last, sow the oregano and sesame. It’s up to you to make the bread very crispy or not, the important point is you should take it from the pan only after the mozzarella melt.
It doesn’t take too long time to make this simple dishes. And it really match to fill up your stomach at the morning!

September Already ;)
Alhamdulillah, 1 syawal kemarin saat semua famili dari ayah saya sedang berkumpul di rumah Bude, kakak tertua dari ayah saya, saya mendapat THR yang Subhanallah ngga pernah terbayangkan. Saya yang tadinya bingung kesana kemari mencari sponsorship dan akhirnya merasa ga enak sama Ayah karena harus biaya sendiri semua biaya hidup selama 6 bulan di Osaka saat OUSSEP, tiba-tiba mendapat email. Sebuah email yg saya masih merasa bingung sampai sekarang, karena tinggal 1 bulan lagi dari keberangkatan, saya malah ditawarkan menjadi penerima beasiswa JASSO, 80.000 yen perbulan selama saya tinggal disana nanti. Padahal tadinya saya sudah ditolak, dan cuma Bryan, partner OUSSEP saya, yang dapat beasiswa itu. Mungkin karena ada penerima lain yang menolak dan ngga jadi berangkat. Ah whatever, yang penting saya sangat senang. Alhamdulillah.. :)
Dan kebahagiaan saya juga bukan hanya seputar itu saja, tapi sangat banyak kemudahan dan berkah yang diberikanNya. Alhamdulillah. Sebelum pergi, selama menganggur di Jogja, saya menghabisakan banyak waktu dengan sahabat-sahabat saya yang belum tentu bisa saya lihat lagi nantinya sehabis saya pulang dr Osaka (salah satu pengorbanan saya untuk ikut OUSSEP; gapunya temen saat Tugas Akhir, gabisa datang wisuda mereka, dan bisa jadi gabisa ketemu mereka lagi nantinya) karena saya pergi semester 9, dimana yang lain sedang TA dan 6 bulan kedepan mereka bisa saja sudah berpencar di kota-kota lain bahkan negara lain, bekerja atau kuliah s2.
